Everyone love beeswax candle packed attractively in a product display box. But it would be more than interesting to know that these beeswax candles are extremely easy to make at home. Implement some simple steps. Gather these common ingredients and experiment yourself. It's a perfect way to add warmth and calmness to your surroundings.
Ingredients/Supplies:

• 12 oz. beeswax, roughly chopped
• 12 oz. organic palm oil
• Mason jars
• Square braided cotton wick
• Kitchen scale (for weighing ingredients)
• Wooden skewers (cut in half) or pencils
• Newspapers (for covering work areas)
• Large glass measuring cup for melting the ingredients (Pyrex)

Method:

Method

1) Use a kitchen scale to measure 12 oz. of beeswax in a large glass measuring cup. Place the measuring cup in a pan. Fill it with few inches of water. Melt beeswax over medium flame. It is recommended not to heat your beeswax over a high flame as it could ignite.

2) Cut wicks a few inches more than the length of the jars you are using. Once the beeswax begins to melt, dip one cut wick in the wax. After dipping, lay the wick on a sheet of newspaper, covering the work area. Hold one end with your fingers, and make it straight by holding the other end down. Use a skewer to gently pull it. Repeat the process with all the wicks. Allow them to dry.

Method

3) Use your kitchen scale to weigh palm oil and set it aside. Add palm oil to mostly melted beeswax. Stir while it finishes melting.

4) When the beeswax/palm oil mixture melts completely, stir it with a skewer. Pour about ½ inch of hot wax to the bottom of one jar. Immediately place a wick into its center so that it touches the bottom. Hold the wick in its place gently until the wax hardens enough for the wick to stand. Set the jar aside to harden completely. Repeat this step with all of the jars.

5) Rest a skewer on top of every jar. Wrap the wick around the skewer gently. Make sure that its position is straight. With these secured wicks, finish pouring hot wax into each jar. Just leave headspace at the top. Set aside to harden completely. It might take 12-24 hours.

Method

6) Cut the wicks, leaving them a quarter to half an inch long. Light and enjoy your charming new candles. Sometimes you may have to hold the flame over the wick a little longer to light a beeswax candle.
